Joint Press Statement by Marc Shrader (Director: ITQ Business Solutions) and Adam Craker (CEO: Iqbusiness)

Iqbusiness is proud to announce its purchase of a controlling stake in ITQ Business Solutions (ITQ) – a South African business services company focusing on software support, consulting and development in key growth sectors.

“At Iqbusiness, we’ve always focused on meeting the growing advisory needs of Africa’s professionals in financial services, banking, insurance, retail, telecommunications and other key growth industries. Now we’re able to deepen our capabilities through this exciting acquisition. It signals the start of a new impetus for growth in South Africa’s business services offerings, which has been plagued by negative news. We’ve got amazing talent and expertise here in South Africa, and I’m thrilled that – together with the ITQ team – we can harness that in the right direction,” said Adam Craker, CEO at Iqbusiness.

The ITQ group provides bespoke and expert services to businesses in key growth sectors such as financial services, insurance and healthcare sectors. ITQ is able to help firms develop and realise essential digitalisation goals by providing custom-built software and proprietary solutions through leading technologies such as Java, Microsoft and Oracle.

“With this acquisition, Iqbusiness is able to bring 250 software developers from ITQ into its fold – and we are ready to add our specialist skills as the economy responds to demands for expert digital and technological solutions,” added Marc Schrader, Director at ITQ.

Since 1998, Iqbusiness has enabled its clients to take products to market faster, improve customer satisfaction, upskill teams, improve efficiencies and eliminate waste, and strengthen governance and compliance.

Iqbusiness also owns South African-based insights and market research companies, Genex Insights and nudge. Together with the ITQ group, all combined businesses now employ a professional staff complement of over 1 000, with plans to further expand their footprint at both a local and international level. Iqbusiness believes that these strategic unions will create a significant number of opportunities for sustainable job creation and economic growth through local and global business services.

Through this acquisition, Iqbusiness cements its position as South Africa’s largest independent management and technology consultancy as it strides towards becoming Africa’s consulting, operations and technology firm of choice.
