iqbusiness is proud to announce that it has been recognised as a Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor for its 2025 financial year.
“Our Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor status represents our continued commitment to transformation as a pivotal growth strategy in South Africa, and reflects how transformation is embedded in the way we operate, partner, and deliver value across our ecosystem,” said Adam Craker, CEO at iqbusiness.
This achievement is particularly significant as it marks the first consolidated B-BBEE certification under the ICT Sector Codes, following the successful merger integration process between IQbusiness and +OneX over the past year.
In October 2024, Reunert Group (JSE: RLO) announced that it had completed the merger of its subsidiaries IQbusiness and +OneX into a business and technology services Digital Integrator under a united and refreshed iqbusiness brand. iqbusiness provides the full suite of technology advisory, strategy, management consulting and digital delivery services to small, medium and large enterprises across the South African and global economy.
“This achievement is a powerful external recognition that demonstrates the strength and alignment of our combined organisation and cements our place as a proudly South African business leading the transformation journey in our segment,” added Craker.
Speaking to the specific factors that iqbusiness had focused on to achieve this recognition, Yesthiel Singh, General Counsel at iqbusiness, shared that “we achieved maximum points on Ownership, Enterprise and Supplier Development, and Socio-Economic Development. A key milestone is that iqbusiness is now more than 51% black-owned, a significant step forward in our transformation journey that strengthens the competitive advantage of iqbusiness in the market.”
Craker noted that “our overall scorecard improvements recognise our deliberate focus on sustainable impact, supporting black-owned suppliers and partners, fostering entrepreneurship, and investing in meaningful socio-economic programmes such as Jozi My Jozi.”
For the clients of iqbusiness, achieving Level 1 B-BBEE recognition reinforces the entity’s commitment to inclusive growth and shared value. It enables clients to benefit from enhanced procurement recognition, while also partnering with a business that actively contributes to South Africa’s social and economic transformation.
For the staff and people within iqbusiness, this milestone represents a shared achievement, a reflection of the whole team’s dedication to creating an equitable, diverse, and empowering workplace. “It affirms that transformation is also about opportunity, inclusivity, empowerment and a sense of ownership,” according to Craker.
Furthermore, the supplier development programmes and initiatives of iqbusiness have helped several small and black-owned businesses scale sustainably through access to business support, mentorship, and market opportunities within the iqbusiness network and beyond.
One supplier, a 100% black-owned SME, has expanded its client base significantly since engaging under the Enterprise Supplier Development programme with iqbusiness, moving from a start-up phase into a growth stage that now employs more than 20 people. This business also began under the iqbusiness Enterprise Development programme and graduated to a Supplier/Partner as envisaged in the BEE codes.
“Achieving Level 1 B-BBEE recognition is more than a certification, but a reflection of who we are and what we stand for as a business. These are the kinds of stories that bring transformation to life, and give tangible meaning to what we are doing as a conscious company and a force for good in South Africa today. It is ubuntu in action,” added Singh.
In further testament to the transformation commitments that iqbusiness has invested in South Africa’s youth, iqbusiness won the Employment Equity category at last week’s Youth Employment Service (YES) ESG Awards 2025. Held in Sandton on 15 October 2025, the award recognises the investment that iqbusiness has made in youth employment, and their continued partnership and dedication to inclusive growth as “a catalyst for lasting change, empowering today’s young leaders to drive our nation forward”.
“Our transformation journey is deeply linked to our purpose of Growing People, Growing Business, and Growing Africa, and the YES award is another proud moment that reflects our mission in action” stated Singh.
Craker concluded: “We’re proud and honoured to have reached these milestone recognitions, but even more proud of the partnerships, people, development, and empowerment it represents. This is who and what inspires us to keep doing more and better in delivering impact with value.”
