A leading financial institution is looking for a highly skilled
Senior RPG Developer to join its technology team.
This role is contract and onsite in Sandton. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical banking systems, drive modernization initiatives, and contribute to the development and support of high-performance core banking applications.

Required skills and Expereince
- Minimum 5+ years' experience as an RPG Developer.
- Strong expertise in:
- RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, ILE RPG
- CL Programming
- DB2 Database
- IBM i / AS400 Environment
- SQL Development
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with application support, maintenance, and enhancements.
- Ability to work independently and within agile delivery teams.
Advantageous
- Banking, financial services, or insurance industry experience.
- Exposure to modernization projects involving legacy platforms.
- Knowledge of APIs, web services, and system integrations.
- Experience with DevOps practices and source control tools.
- Understanding of core banking systems and financial products.
