Additionally, you will learn about the various methods and tools, and best practices for conducting research.
Who Should Attend?
If you have ever been curious about what drives certain human behaviour and, specifically, the practice of eliciting this insight from people, through observation, directly or indirectly engaging with people, user experience research is for you.
Overview
Generative Research
This is a method of research that helps researchers develop a deeper understanding of users in order to find opportunities for solutions and innovation. It’s also referred to as discovery or exploratory research.
Evaluative Research
Is about validating your concepts, testing your prototypes, and knowing whether or not your project is on the right track. It assists UX researchers to answer questions about the conceptual fit and the usability of a product.
Synthesis
Is the process of sorting, categorizing, and transforming raw data into valuable information and is one of the most important and challenging steps in the UX research process.
Qualitative and Quantitative
Are both research methods, which are the engine behind evidence-based outcomes. These typically include interviews, questionnaires or experimental research, which can be gathered either in a quantitative or qualitative method.
Research Biases
Research bias results from any deviation from the truth, causing distorted results and wrong conclusions. Research bias can occur in both qualitative and quantitative research and even during data collection, data analysis, interpretation, or publication.
